Care for some onions with your books?

Back by popular demand for the fall harvest season are the students—or rather, the veggies and fruits—of Dillmun Hill farm. If you happen to find yourself crossing the Ag Quad on Tuesdays, look for a bountiful little farmer's market near the main Mann entrance, where organic garden vegetables grown by student interns at the Dillmun Hill farm will entice you with their gorgeous colors and rich doses of vitamins, flavonoids and other phytonutrients.  Fully student-managed and operated, Dillmun Hill specializes in growing a bright array of vegetables—from salad greens to turnips—while developing and testing new strategies for successful organic farming. For Dillmun Hill students, the farmer’s market stand outside Mann Library has become a popular outlet for their freshly harvested goods; for the students, faculty and staffed in the departments housed around the Ag Quad, it’s become a convenient venue for picking up the makings of some delicious (and healthy!) meals for the week.
