Cornell University Library is starting the new year off with an exciting announcement: we have a new website! Our newly redesigned site has all the great features of our previous website – such as our search box for the library catalog front and center on the home page – along with some great new functionality to make navigation easier and more efficient for our users. Some notable features include:
- A new cross-unit Find a Space page that shows the variety of library spaces across all the libraries on campus. Use the available filters to find quiet study spaces in your favorite libraries, reserve a group room for you and your friends, or find a meeting/conference room for your next event!
- The hours page for all unit libraries which includes real-time info on which libraries are currently open, links to the unit websites, and contact information for research and borrowing help.
- A new “Get Started” menu on the homepage with links to some of our most popular resources and services, including Ask a Librarian, to connect with Cornell librarians for research help; Off-Campus Access, to access library resources when you’re not on Cornell’s network; and Citation Management, for help with citation management software such as Zotero and Mendeley.
- A focus on highlighted collections, including Cornell’s Digital Collections, Rare and Distinct Collections, Streaming Video, Ebooks and Audiobooks, Theses and Dissertations, and New Books.
Have feedback to share with our development team? The link to our feedback form can be found at the top of all the webpages on the new Library site. To the many users who have already shared feedback with us or participated in our testing throughout the development process, we thank you for helping us design a site that works for you.
